The txtys series of bite sized animated messages were created for mobile devices and an online messaging site. The challenge was to create a set of animations that were each 11 seconds in duration, were emotive and cute and used simple sounds and 'txt' messages rather than dialogue.

Taking their inspiration from smileys and emoticons, txtys were designed to deliver short and sharp messages to friends - and enemies. Lycette Bros. launched the now defunct txty.com website in 2006.
